Do you need to involve a mental-health and a financial professional in every case?
Amy Zylman Shimalla’s Answer:
No. Each case involves the two parties and their two collaboratively trained lawyers. Then the parties and their lawyers decide if other collaboratively trained professionals, such as a divorce coach, child specialist, forensic accountant, or certified financial planner, would be helpful in resolving their issues. If so, an agreed upon professional is added to the “team” as a neutral to help reach a resolution.
